James Twigg is a highly experienced educationalist who holds a Doctorate in Education, a Masters in Educational Leadership, the National Professional Qualification of Headship as well as post graduate certificates in primary teaching and teaching in higher education. He is currently a senior lecturer in primary education and Departmental Education Lead in the School of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.  Prior to this role, James was a headteacher for 13 years - leading both a primary school in Stockport and a British international school in Malaysia.

James lives in Disley and is married with two sons.
